After leading the Wildcats to a key Big Sky win over Idaho State Saturday, Weber State junior Chris Golden has been honored as the Big Sky Conference Co-Player of the Week. Golden earned the honor after his career-high performance in helping the Wildcats to a 61-57 win over the Bengals.
Golden, a native of Milwaukee, Wisc., scored a career-high 24 points, knocked down a career-high six 3-pointers, and grabbed a career-high seven rebounds in Saturday's win. He scored five points in the final 2:12 of the game to help secure the win for the Wildcats.
On the season Golden is averaging 9.6 points per game and has knocked down a team-high 53 3-pointers on the year. He is also third on the WSU team in steals and fourth in assists.
This is Golden's first Big Sky Player of the Week honor and the first time the Wildcats have received the honor this season.
