Raymond A. Freeman

Football, Men's Tennis, Men's Track and Field (1939-41)

Inducted January 1990

Raymond Freeman was one of the top early quarterbacks in the Weber State football program. He led the Bob Davis-coached Wildcats as a single-wing quarterback in 1939 and 1940. 

Freeman, a native of Ogden, was also the regional junior college champion in the 100-yard dash and 220-yard dash.

Freeman was also a key member of the Weber JC men's tennis team in 1939 and 1940. Freeman also served as the sports editor of the Signpost, the school's student newspaper, during that time.

Freeman went on to work at Hill Air Force Base.
