Sid Otton achieved great success as a key player on the Weber State lines, claiming national honors on both sides of the ball.
Under Coach Sark Arslanian, Otton earned Associated Press First Team All-America honors in 1965. He is the only player in Big Sky Conference history to earn first team all-conference honors as an offensive tackle and defensive tackle in the same year (1965).
Otton, a native of Lewiston, Idaho, was later named to the Big Sky Conference Silver Anniversary Team. The versatile 6-foot-4, 240-pound Otton was recruited by Coach Wally Nalder to Weber State from Boise Junior College.
