OGDEN – Weber State women's basketball had a rough go Thursday night falling to Eastern Washington 70-42.

Weber State was slow to get going as EWU ended the first quarter on an 8-0 run. WSU tried to gain some footing in the second quarter but Eastern Washington had a 14 point lead over Weber State.

Weber State let the third quarter slip away only scoring four points the entire time giving the Eagles the momentum to carry out the rest of the game.

The Wildcats ended the game on a four minute scoring drought and EWU claimed the 70-42 victory.

Weber State shot 31 percent from the field, eight percent from the three and 50 percent from the free throw line. WSU had 21 turnovers which Eastern Washington turned into 19 points.

Weber State was led by Jaiamoni Welch-Coleman who dropped 10 points for the Wildcats going 5-9 from the field. Yarden Danan was Weber State's top rebounder on the night pulling down seven boards.

WSU is now 12-14 overall on the season and 6-9 in Big Sky Conference play. Weber State will play it's final game in the Dee Events Center Saturday, Feb. 25 at 2:00 p.m. Saturday's game will be senior day where lone senior Deeshyra Thomas will be honored for her career achievements as a Wildcat.
