Wildcats host Southeast Missouri State in second round of FCS Playoffs

OGDEN - Weber State football now knows its opponent for the second round of the FCS Playoffs. The Wildcats received a bye and are the No. 2 seed in the Playoffs and will take on Southeast Missouri State on Saturday in the second round.
Kickoff between the Wildcats and Redhawks will be 2 p.m. at Stewart Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN3. It will be Weber State's first-ever home game in the month of December.
Southeast Missouri State defeated Stony Brook 28-14 in the first round of the playoffs to earn the right to take on the Wildcats.
The Redhawks are 9-3 on the season and finished second in the Ohio Valley Conference at 6-2.
This will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools and will be the first game for Weber State against a team from the Ohio Valley Conference.
Weber State enters the playoffs for the third straight season and won back-to-back Big Sky titles for the first time ever. The Wildcats are 9-2 overall and finished 7-1 in conference play to claim the conference championship and the automatic berth into the Playoffs.
Head coach Jay Hill had 13 Wildcats named to the Big Sky All-Conference first team and 19 players that earned all-conference honors.
