From no Division I scholarship offers to leading the Wildcat defense, Worthen shares his journey to Weber State and more.
Teni Worthen loves playing football. After receiving no Division I scholarship offers out of high school, Worthen has found his way to Weber State, where he has switched positions and become a leader on the Wildcat defense in just his second season of college football.
In the latest episode of the 'Cat Tales' podcast, Worthen shares his journey to Weber State, from growing up in Spanish Fork and his Samoan heritage to serving a mission in New Zealand and playing junior college football.
After receiving no offers out of Spanish Fork High School, Worthen spent last season playing safety at Snow College.
He joined Weber State in January 2026 and made the switch to linebacker. Through eight games of the 2026 season, Worthen leads the Wildcats in total tackles.
