Jerrick Harding named first-team All-Big Sky

Weber State junior guard Jerrick Harding has earned Big Sky first-team All-Conference honors for the second-straight season. Harding received the honor Tuesday as the conference announced its all-conference team.

In addition, WSU senior Brekkott Chapman and junior Cody John earned honorable mention all-conference honors.

Harding has had another strong season for the Wildcats. Entering the Big Sky Tournament he ranks second in the conference and 22nd in the nation in scoring at 21.9 points per game. Harding has scored in double figures in 26 of his 28 games played and has reached 20 or more points 18 times and 30 or more points four times. He has scored 613 points this season entering the conference tournament, which ranks as the 14th most in a season in WSU history. His 21.9 points per game scoring average is currently the ninth best in a season.

He also leads the conference in free throw percentage at 87.1 percent and ranks second in steals at 1.7 per game.

The Wichita, Kansas native ranks sixth in Weber State history in career scoring with 1,592 points in 91 career games. He is first in WSU history in career free throw percentage at 87.2 percent and also ranks ninth in career free throws made and 10th in career 3-pointers.

Brekkott Chapman earned Big Sky All-Conference honors for the first time in his career. The senior from Roy, Utah is averaging 12.5 points per game and currently ranks second in the Big Sky in rebounding at 8.6 per game. He is 15th in the country in defensive rebounds at 7.6. Chapman also is third in the conference in blocked shots at 1.7 per game. He enter this week with 52 blocked shots, the sixth most in a single-season.

Cody John also earned All-Big Sky honors for the first time in his career. He is second on the Wildcat team and sixth in the Big Sky in scoring at 15 points per game and has scored in double figures in 26 of his 31 games played this season.

Northern Colorado's Jordan Davis was named the MVP of the Big Sky. The first-team also included Montana's Ahmad Rorie and Sayeed Pridgett and Montana State's Tyler Hall.
