OGDEN - Weber State men's basketball standout Jerrick Harding, the school's all-time leading scorer, has signed his first professional contract.
Harding has signed to play with ERA Basketball Nymburk in the Czech Republic. Nymburk is the elite team in the top league in the country and is part of the Czech National League and also competes in the Basketball Champions League. Nymburk has won the Czech National League championship every season since 2004.
"I'm super excited to say that I've signed my first professional contract, it seems surreal right now," Harding said. "I've been working my whole life to get to this point and it's finally here! Not only do I get to fulfill my dream of getting paid to play the game I love, but I also get to see parts of the world that I've always wanted to see."
Harding, a native of Wichita, Kansas, finished his record-setting career at Weber State in March 2020. He finished his career as Weber State's all-time leading scorer, finishing with 2,266 points in 122 carer games with the Wildcats. He also ranks third in scoring in Big Sky Conference history.
He earned All-Big Sky honors and All-District honors three times in his career at Weber State. He also finished his career as WSU's career leader in free throw percentage at 86.8 percent. He also ranks in the school's career top 10 in 12 different categories.
As a senior last year, Harding earned second-team All-Big Sky and All-District honors and finished seventh in the nation in scoring at 22.2 points per game. He also set a Dee Events Center record with 44 points in a win over Sacramento State.
In 2018, Harding broke a Weber State school record with 46 points in a win at Montana State.
"I want to thank my family and friends and everyone that has helped me along the way," Harding added. "I also want to thank Weber State for the great four years I had there."
