Rashid Shaheed earns first team All-America honors

Shaheed is the first player in Weber State history to earn All-America honors four times in a career.

OGDEN - Weber State senior Rashid Shaheed has earned All-America honors. Shaheed was named to the Stats Perform FCS All-America first team. He also previously earned third team All-America honors from HERO Sports. 

Shaheed is the first player in Weber State history to earn All-America honors four times in his career. 

During his senior season, Shaheed was eighth in the nation in all-purpose yards with 1,503 yards. He had two kickoff returns to become the FCS all-time leader and was ninth in the nation in kickoff return average. He led the Wildcats with 39 receptions on the year for 700 yards and four touchdowns. 

The San Diego native concluded his record-setting career at Weber State in 2021. He became the FCS all-time leader in kickoff returns touchdowns with seven in his career. He also finished his career ranked third in WSU history in all-purpose yards with 5,478. He is also seventh in career receiving yards with 2,164 yards and is 10th in career receptions with 146. He had 18 career receiving touchdowns. He played in 53 career games at Weber State and was part of the Wildcat team that won four straight Big Sky titles. 

He earned All-Big Sky first team honors four times in his career, just the third player in Weber State history to do so.
