Weber State mourns the passing of longtime Wildcat supporter Barbara Youngberg

Weber State University and Wildcat Athletics mourns the passing of longtime Wildcat supporter Barbara Youngberg. Barbara passed away on Friday, July 9, at the age of 92. 

Barbara and her husband Rory were avid supporters of Weber State University and loved cheering on the Wildcats. In 2019, the generous support of the Youngbergs helped in the building of the Barbara and Rory Youngberg Center on the north end of Stewart Stadium. 

She is survived by her husband W. Rory Youngberg, their children and spouses, Lisha (Eric) Ruud, Kris (Christine) Youngberg, and Lance Youngberg. Grandchildren Ryan Youngberg, Steven Ruud, and Danielle (Matthew) Ricard, and great-grandchild Sophia Ricard.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 17th, at First Presbyterian Church in Ogden, located at 880 28th Street. A reception will begin at 1:00 p.m. with the service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park.
