WSU was the only team in the Big Sky on the team honor roll.
The Weber State volleyball team had an historic year on the court and in the classroom. The Wildcats have been recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and named to the Team Academic Honor roll for the 2020-21 season.
The Team Academic Honor Roll recognizes programs with a G.P.A. in the top 20 percent of all teams within their division. These teams represent the highest scholarly achievement in the sport of volleyball. WSU was the only team in the Big Sky to be named to the honor roll.
The Wildcats were also honored with the Team Academic Award this season by the AVCA. The Team Academic Award honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale.
Weber State had an historic season in the spring 2021 season. WSU finished 19-2 and captured its first Big Sky regular season title. The Wildcats also won the Big Sky Tournament to advance to the NCAA Tournament and there captured the first tournament win in school history.
The Wildcats are coached by Jeremiah Larsen, the Big Sky Coach of the Year. Weber State had four players earn first team All-Big Sky honors during the season, including Rylin Adams who was named the Big Sky Player of the Year.
Weber State begins the 2021 season on August 27.
