2022 Big Sky Cross Country Championship Preview

10/26/2022 11:51:00 AM | Men's Cross Country

The Weber State men's cross country team competes this weekend at the Big Sky Conference Championship hosted by Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington on Friday, October 28, 2022.

The team will include Logan Anderson, Conner Cox, Ty Davis, Kelton Gagnon, Hanokh Gailson, Wes Kallgren, Taylor Knight, and Bronson Winter. The men come off a solid performance in their final regular season race with a second-place finish at the Bronco Invitational in Santa Clara, California a couple weeks ago.

Coach Corbin Talley commented that he's "really proud of this group and all the work they've put in this year. They've worked really hard as a group during this last summer and through the season this fall, and I'm look forward to this weekend to see how we compete against a really strong Big Sky field this year with such a young group. I'm excited to see where they go moving forward in future years as they continue to work and improve together."

Weber State currently sits at number 10 in the Mountain Region with Northern Arizona, and Montana State as the only conference members ahead of the Wildcats. Idaho State, and Portland State are also strong competitors that the team will have to fight off to finish high this Championship weekend.
