'Cats continue road trip at Boise State Monday night

Weber State takes on the Broncos Monday at 6:30 p.m. in Boise.
• Weber State women's basketball continues its road trip to start the season with a road game at Boise State Monday night.
• Monday's game will tipoff at 6:30 p.m. from ExtraMile Arena in Boise. The game will be streamed on the Mountain West Network. Live stats available at WeberStateSports.com and the Weber State Wildcats app.
• Weber State is 0-2 on the season with two road games in Utah county. The Wildcats opened the year with a 56-55 loss at Utah Valley on Monday night in Orem. They are coming off a 77-49 loss at BYU on Friday morning in Provo.
• Through the first two games, new Wildcat transfer Kendra Parra leads the 'Cats in scoring at 12 points per game. She had 13 points at Utah Valley and 11 at BYU. She is also 11 of 13 from the free throw line this season.
• Senior Jadyn Matthews is averaging 11.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game through the first two games, and is shooting 50 percent from the field. Matthews was fifth in the Big Sky Conference in rebounding at 11th in scoring last season. She is fifth in WSU history in career rebounding and fifth in career rebounding average. She is also 17th in career scoring.
• Weber State is under the direction of first year head coach Jenteal Jackson who was named the seventh head coach in WSU history in April. A Utah native and former in-state college player, she came to Weber State after spending the last two seasons as head coach at Westminster College in Salt Lake City. Prior to becoming head coach, she spent nine seasons as an assistant coach at Westminster. She played college basketball at BYU and Westminster.
• The Wildcats return nine players off last year's team, including senior Daryn Hickok who returns for her senior year and was named to the Big Sky preseason all-conference team. Hickok is a three-time All-Big Sky selection and was third in the Big Sky in scoring last season at 16.3 points, and 10th in rebounding at 6.4 per game. She has played in 105 career games and is 11th in career scoring and eighth in career scoring average.
• Weber State welcomes seven new players to the roster, including five transfers. Kendra Parra (Metro State), Ashton Adamson (SLCC), Kennedy Eskelson (CSI), Margarita Satini (Westminster), and Sierra Davis (Charleston WV) all have joined the Wildcats as transfers.
• Boise State is 1-0 on the season after opening the year with a 77-35 win over College of Idaho. The Broncs were 17-16 overall and 11-7 in Mountain West play last season. They were picked fourth in the Mountain West preseason poll.
• This will be the 47th all-time meeting between the two teams who were once both longtime conference schools in the Big Sky. The Broncos hold a 25-21 series lead and have won the last four games. The Broncos won 63-52 last November in Boise.
• The Wildcats are playing their first seven games on the road. After Monday's game, the 'Cats will face another Mountain West team and another in-state team as they play at Utah State on Friday, November 17 in Logan.
