Weber State Set To Face #4 BYU In NCAA Tournament Opening Round

Ogden, UT - In a thrilling five-set match against the Montana State Bobcats this past Friday night, the Weber State Wildcats were crowned the 2023 Big Sky Champions. The victory awarded them a spot in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Weber State squad will face the No. 4 seed BYU in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. The match will be played at Smith Fieldhouse in Provo, Utah. The winner of Friday's match will move on to face the winner of Georgia and Arizona State in the second round.
This is the third Big Sky Tournament title for the 'Cats in school history and will be their third NCAA Tournament appearance with their last one being in 2021.
BYU finished 24-6 overall and 13-5 in its first season as a member of the Big 12. This season marks the Cougar's 12th consecutive NCAA tournament appearance and 36th overall.
