OGDEN, Utah – Weber State women's basketball started off its final two-game homestand of the season with a 66-52 loss to the Sacramento State Hornets.

The gap widened in the second quarter as the Hornets outscored the Wildcats 13-7 to take a 29-18 edge into the locker rooms.
The WSU offense started to roll in the third quarter as the Wildcats cut into the Sacramento State lead. Kaiija Lesane led the way with seven points to go along with four points each from Jadyn Matthews and Vicky Parra. Weber State outscored the Hornets and went into the fourth period with a ten-point deficit.
The Wildcats scored an extra 17 points in the fourth quarter, but the Hornets pulled away to close out a 66-52 win.
