Wildcats close out home schedule with 67-53 win over Idaho

With the win, Weber State clinches the No. 3 seed in the Big Sky Tournament.
OGDEN - Weber State closed out the home season in style with a 67-53 win over Idaho Saturday night at the Dee Events Center.
With the win, the Wildcats clinched the third seed in the Big Sky standings and the conference tournament. WSU is 11-6 in Big Sky play with one game remaining.
The Wildcats led 28-24 at halftime. They opened the second half on a 13-2 run and never looked back. The Vandals were never closer than 10 the rest of the way and the Wildcats led by as many as 22.
Weber State shot 43 percent from the field and held Idaho to 34 percent shooting. Both teams were 9 of 23 from 3-point range and WSU won the rebounding margin 38-32. Weber State also had 30 points in the paint.
Do it all Dillon Jones led the Wildcats once again with 21 points and 14 rebounds for his 18th double-double of the season. He also had four assists to lead the 'Cats.
Steven Verplancken added 14 points with four 3-pointers. KJ Cunningham and Junior Ballard each had eight points.
Weber State will close out the regular season Monday night at Northern Arizona in a 6 p.m. tipoff.
