Wildcats Ousted at Home

OGDEN, Utah – Weber State closed out its four-game home stand with a 73-60 loss to Northern Colorado.
Led by Aaliyah Ellis and her two buckets, Weber State scored seven points in the first quarter and trailed the Bears 14-7 at the period's end.
Weber State scored an additional 11 points in the second quarter, featuring four points from all-conference performer Daryn Hickok, but the Bears extended their lead to 33-18 at the half.
Ellis and Jadyn Matthews paved the way for the Wildcats with five points each in the second quarter on a combined 3-7 shooting as the Wildcats put together a 22-point quarter to chip into the Bears' lead.
Weber State outscored the Bears yet again in the fourth quarter. Matthews put in another four points and Hickok scored six, including a three pointer from the top of the key, but the Wildcats weren't able to get over the hump and catch up to the Bears. Northern Colorado came out with the 73-60 victory on Thursday night.
NOTABLES
-The WSU bench outscored the Bears' bench 10-6.
-The Wildcats scored nine second chance points compared to just three for the Bears.
-WSU outrebounded Northern Colorado 33-30.
-Hickok led the 'Cats in scoring (14) and rebounding (seven).
