Weber State graduates 56 student-athletes in spring 2023

OGDEN - Weber State Athletics boasted 56 Wildcat student-athletes that earned their degrees and graduated from Weber State University as part of the 2023 spring commencement.Â
More than 3,400 students graduated from Weber State University from its seven academic colleges as part of the 160th commencement ceremony held Friday.Â
The 56 current and former Weber State student-athletes earning their degrees in spring commencement are:Â

In addition, two former Weber State student-athletes were honored with honorary degrees from Weber State University. Javier Chavez, founder and owner of Javier's Inc., was a student-athlete with the Weber State track and field team from 1977-80. He earned nine All-Big Sky Conference honors, including a conference championship in the mile. He was inducted into the Weber State Hall of Fame in 2001.  Â
Forrest Crawford was a member of the Weber State football team from 1972-73. He went on to serve in faculty and staff roles at Weber State for 44 years.Â
