Alumni Classic rosters announced; vote for starters

Damian Lillard will host another Weber State Alumni Classic this Saturday. Wildcat fans can vote for the starters in the game.
OGDEN - Weber State and Damian Lillard will host another Men's Basketball Alumni Classic this Saturday, June 17, bringing together some of the greatest players in Weber State history.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Dee Events Center with a shooting stars contest and a 3-point contest. The night will conclude with the alumni game featuring 31 former Wildcat greats.
This is the fifth Weber State Alumni Classic hosted by Lillard, a seven-time NBA All-Star who was named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.
Lillard will not play in the game but will participate in the shooting stars contest.
In addition, a pre-game autograph session with Lillard and the players will be held for fans from 4-5 p.m. Saturday in the north concourse of the Dee Events Center.
The alumni game will feature players from five different decades. The group includes five former Big Sky MVP's, several all-conference performers, and nine players that were named to the Weber State 50th Anniversary Team.
In addition, some former women's basketball players will participate in the Shooting Stars contest. Two Hall of Fame players in Crystal Howe Nye and Julie Gjertsen Meurer will participate, along with former Wildcats Tori Allen, Larryn Brooks, and Zharia Hale.
Former Weber State head coach and Hall of Famer Phil Johnson will assist in coaching, along with former women's basketball head coach Carla Taylor. Lillard will also assist in coaching the game, along with current Wildcat head coach Eric Duft and WSU's assistant coaches.
Wildcat fans can vote for the starting lineups for each team. One lucky fan will win an autographed ball from the contestants at the game. Voting ends Friday, June 16 at noon.
General admission tickets are available for $10 with a Dame Family package of five tickets for $40. Tickets are on sale now at the Weber State Ticket Office at the Dee Events Center or by visiting WeberStateTickets.com.
