Wildcat Cross Country Receives Academic Accolades

The men's cross country team has been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team. This award is following the 2023 Fall semester and the 'Cats finished with a 3.44 GPA.

To qualify for this honor, a team is required to have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

"I am proud of the team," head coach Corbin Talley said. "They have done a great job on the course and in the classroom. I am amazed by how well-rounded and hard-working each of them are."

Peter Visser was also named as an Academic All-American with a 4.0 GPA.

"I'm very proud of Peter for how well he ran in cross country last fall, but just as proud of who he is and how strongly he performs in the classroom," Talley said.
