Weber State lands 70 on Winter Academic All-Big Sky list

70 Wildcats earned the honor in men's basketball, women's basketball, men's indoor track and field, and women's indoor track and field. 19 Wildcats posted a 4.0 cumulative G.P.A.
OGDEN - Weber State had 70 student-athletes earn Big Sky Academic All-Conference honors for the winter 2023-24 season in the sports of men's basketball, women's basketball, men's indoor track and field, and women's indoor track and field.
Of the 70 Wildcats, 19 posted a perfect 4.0 cumulative G.P.A. and 57 had a 3.5 G.P.A. or higher.
The Weber State men's basketball team and the men's indoor track and field team both led all Big Sky schools in their sport, and the 'Cats were second in women's indoor track and field.
Women's indoor track and field had 29 student-athletes earn the honor, men's indoor track and field had 24, men's basketball had 10 and women's basketball had seven.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded three requirements: 1) Participation in at least half of the team's competitions; 2) Achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average at the conclusion of the most recently completed term; 3) Completed at least one academic term at his/her school. For indoor track and field, student-athletes must have participated in at least half of the team's competitions or competed at the conference championship.
As a conference, the Big Sky had 511 student-athletes recognized for the fall season, with 111 earning a perfect. 4.0 GPA.
