Weber State continued to show academic success in the latest NCAA Academic Progress Report (APR) released this week.

Each academic year, every Division I sports team across the country calculates its APR using a simple and consistent formula. Each term, scholarship student-athletes can earn 1 point for remaining eligible and 1 point for staying in school or graduating.

All Weber State squads were above the NCAA minimum score of 930 with no penalties and remain eligible for postseason competition.

The Weber State men's golf team received public recognition for its perfect 1,000 multiyear rate. This is the first time the NCAA has done public recognition since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Seven of Weber State's 14 programs were at or above the national average rate of 984. Those squads are men's golf, softball, women's golf, women's tennis, men's tennis, women's basketball, and soccer.

Nine Wildcat teams were at or above the national multiyear average in their sports: football, men's basketball, men's golf, men's tennis, women's golf, softball, women's tennis, soccer, and women's basketball.

In addition, eight WSU programs, men's cross country, men's golf, men's tennis, men's track and field, women's basketball, women's cross country, women's golf, and women's tennis, all posted perfect single-year scores for the 2022-23 academic year.

Men's golf and softball both led or tied for the best multiyear rate in the Big Sky and the state of Utah in their respective sports.

A full list of APRs for each team can be accessed using the APR searchable database.
