Weber State leads Big Sky with 90 Fall Academic All-Conference selections

OGDEN - Weber State led all schools in the Big Sky with 90 student-athletes earning Big Sky Academic All-Conference honors for the fall 2024 sports of football, volleyball, soccer, and men's and women's cross country.Â
Of the 90 Wildcats, nine posted a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA, and 66 had a 3.5 GPA. or higher. Â
The Wildcat football team had 36 student-athletes earn the honor, the second-most of any team in the conference.
The WSU men's cross country team led the conference with 13 selections, and the women's cross country had 12, the second-most of any school.Â
Weber State soccer had 18 selections and volleyball had 11.Â
All five fall sports finished in the top three of the most selections in their sport.Â
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded three requirements: 1) Participation in at least half of the team's competitions; 2) Achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average at the conclusion of the most recently completed term; 3) Completed at least one academic term at his/her school. For cross country, student-athletes must have participated in at least half of the team's competitions or competed at the conference championship.Â
In total across the conference, 720 Big Sky student-athletes were honored with 102 earning 4.0 GPAs.
