Wildcats drop match to Griz in Missoula

Missoula, MT - The Weber State Wildcats women's soccer team fell on the road to the Montana Grizzlies 4-0.
The Wildcats had opportunities in the first half but were unable to capitalize. Lily Blum's free kick was saved out of bounds, leading to a Wildcat corner that the Griz also saved in the 23rd minute.
Tenzi Knowles sent a shot off the crossbar in the 29th minute, and Grace Kirby and Harlee Thomas were unable to capitalize on a 2 on 1 opportunity in the 31st minute.
Thomas back-heeled a pass to Sammie Sofonia, who pulled her shot wide in the 42nd minute.
The 'Cats were ultimately shut out as Montana recorded their 6th shutout of the season.
The Griz got on the board right before half in the 42nd minute, and came out firing in the 2nd half, scoring in the 58th and 60th minutes.
The dagger came in the 79th minute as Montana put a cap on the 4-0 victory.
Weber State will return home for the final time this Sunday as they take on the Sacramento State Hornets in a match that figures to loom large in Big Sky Conference play.
The match will begin at 12 p.m. at Wildcat Soccer Field and will be a pink out.
