Wildcats go 2-0 on the weekend after 74-61 win over Omaha

LOS ANGELES - Weber State women's basketball finished the LMU Tournament with a 2-0 record after a 74-61 victory over Omaha this weekend.
The Wildcats started strong, using a pair of dominant runs (6-0 and 7-0) in the first quarter to establish a 16-13 lead over Omaha. Weber State extended that lead in the second quarter, beginning with back-to-back 3-pointers from Fui Niumeitolu and Makenna Shaffer-Lauer to go up by nine and two more Wildcat layups, then added to their momentum. Maintaining a tough offensive effort, Weber State headed into the half with a 36-22 lead.
Weber State recorded 19 points in both the third and fourth quarters, allowing the Wildcats to keep a strong lead above Omaha. Continuing to produce an efficient offense and defend against any late comeback by Omaha, the Wildcats went on to secure a 74-61 win.
