The 'Cats wrapped up another successful weekend of action with multiple standout performances at the Riverfront Invitational and Multis Feb. 7-8.
The Wildcats brought four athletes to compete at the meet.
"Overall I was happy with how the meet went," assistant coach Josh Aydlette, said. "While we've got some some things to clean up, I saw a lot of improvements that shows we're going in the right direction."
Kapua Pulotu led the 'Cats with a fourth place finish in the shot put with a mark of 46-11.50, Rachel Roberts finished ninth at 42-04.25, Bailey Tovey recorded a 13th place finish with a mark of 41-03.75 and Shannan Fonua finished with in 14th at 40-07.50.
"I was very pleased with how Kapua, Rachel, and Shannan responded during the meet," Aydlette said. "Each one was in danger of not making the finals going into their last throw, in their respective events, but hit a big mark to secure themselves into the finals."
Fonua led the 'Cats in the weight throw with a mark of 53-08.25 and Tovey finished 18th at 46-04.00.
The 'Cats will be back in action next week, splitting their time between the Husky Classic hosted by the University of Washington and the Mountain State Games hosted by Idaho State University from Feb. 14-15.
