Wildcats drop game to Vandals on senior day

OGDEN - Women's basketball fell 58-73 to the Idaho Vandals this Saturday afternoon. Before the game, Weber State recognized seniors Rita Satina, Kendra Parra, Kennedy Eskelson and Rose Bubakar.
First Half | A slow start for the Wildcats, Idaho led to close the first quarter 20-12. Weber State opened the second quarter with a Rose Bubakar 3-pointer and Antoniette Emma-Nnopu layup to trail the Vandals by three. Two back-to-back 3-pointers by Idaho then extended their lead and Weber State continued to work at the deficit. Unable to take away the advantage created by the Vandals, the half ended 42-27 in their favor.
Second Half | Idaho went on an 8-0 run to start the third quarter. Unable to put a stop to the Vandals, the Wildcats trailed 62-39 headed into the final frame. Using a few runs in the final 10 minutes of gameplay, the 'Cats battled putting up 19 points throughout the quarter. However, a tough Vandal squad went on to secure the victory 73-58.
