A new season of Weber State women's basketball officially gets underway on Tuesday as the Wildcats host Westminster in the season opener at the Dee Events Center.
Tuesday's game will tip off at 6 p.m. in Ogden.
The season opener will give Wildcat fans their first look at the 2026-27 Weber State team under fourth-year head coach Jenteal Jackson.
Jackson was named the seventh head coach in Weber State women's basketball history in April 2023. She enters her fourth season at the helm after three years leading the Wildcats. Before coming to Weber State, Jackson served as the head coach at Westminster University from 2021-23 and spent nine years as an assistant coach.
Weber State returns to the court with a mix of familiar faces and new additions as the Wildcats prepare for another season of Big Sky basketball.
Tuesday's matchup against Westminster is the first of four consecutive home games to open the regular season. The Wildcats will return to the Dee Events Center on Saturday, Nov. 7, to host Denver at 4 p.m. Weber State will then welcome Houston Christian on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 1 p.m., before closing out the homestand against Northern New Mexico on Monday, Nov. 16.
