'Cats finish Big Sky Championships with multiple All-Time marks

The Wildcats recorded 27 team points at the Big Sky Indoor Championships in Flagstaff, Arizona from Feb. 27 - March 1.Â
"We had several finish just outside of scoring who had personal bests or season bests along the way," Lindsey Anderson, assistant coach of the Wildcats said. " "We were missing a few key athletes due to injury or red-shirt are looking forward to having them back next year."
Abby Triplett finished third in the high jump with a mark of 5-08.50, Aimee Chambers-Lenthe finished eighth at 5-06.00 and Stacia Barker finished at 5-02.25. Triplett earned All-Conference honors following this performance.Â
Kapua Pulotu finished the shot put in third with a mark of 46-11.75 and earned all-conference honors, Shannan Fonua finished in eighth at 44-04.00, Rachel Roberts finished at 43-11.25, Bailey Tovey finished at 43-00.25 and Tesia Halaufia with a mark of 37-03.25.Â
Angelyca Chapman recorded an eighth place finish in 400 meter prelims with a time of 55.06, staying at fourth on the All-Time list but improving their time from 55.11. Chapman recorded a time of 56.74 in the finals.Â
Five 'Cats competed in the 200 meter prelims and both Chapman and Devers recorded season bests. Chapman finished at 24.74 and moved into ninth on the All-Time list and Devers finished at 24.82. Oliver recorded a time of 25.62, Smith finished at 25.78 and Gwilliam finished at 26.28.Â
Jasmine Devers recorded a time of 7.80 and Makayla Oliver finished at 7.89 in the 60 meter prelims. Oliver finished the long jump with a mark of 12-00.50.Â
Chapman, Devers, Charlotte Wilkinson and Smith finished the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:49.04.Â
Camp Cazier, Wilkinson, Saga Hagelin and Laurie Murphy finished the distance medley in fifth with a time of 12:10.73.Â
Eliza Smith finished seventh in the prelims of the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.79 and Emily Gwilliam recorded a personal best with a time of 9.07. Smith finished eighth in the finals at 9.00.Â
Hannah Bailey recorded a sixth place finish in the 800 meter with a time of 2:12.47, Saga Hagelin finished at 2:16.43 and Wilkinson finished at 2:17.46. Bailey finished at 2:12.97 in the finals.Â
Hagelin recorded a ninth place finish in the mile with a time of 5:01.66, Sandra Aberg finished at 5:17.15, Audrey Camp Cazier finished at 5:19.26 and Bailey recorded a time of 5:19.29.Â
Laurie Murphy finished ninth in the 3000 meter with a time of 9:54.74, Hagelin finished 12th at 10:09.90, Danielle Brow finished with a time of 10:22.70, Courtney Earl finished at 10:29.35, Frances Hudson finished at 10:30.62, Jessica Hill finished at 10:42.64 and Hailey Low finished at 10:44.17.Â
Hudson finished 12th in the 5000 meter with a time of 18:10.18, Brow finished at 18:23.34, Earl finished at 18:30.23 and Hill finished at 18:44.86.Â
Fonua finished the weight throw with a mark of 51-09.75, Tovey recorded a personal best of 49-09.75 and Halaufia finished with 49-04.25.Â
"I was proud of the effort and support these ladies showed each other throughout the meet and we are looking forward to now shifting to outdoor season," Anderson said.Â
