Weber State places 66 on winter 2024-25 Big Sky All-Academic list

Of the 66 Wildcats from men's and women's basketball and men's and women's indoor track and field, 12 posted a perfect 4.0 cumulative G.P.A., and 51 had a 3.5 G.P.A. or higher.
OGDEN - Weber State landed 66 student-athletes on the Big Sky Academic All-Conference list for the winter 2024-25 seasons in the sports of men's basketball, women's basketball, men's indoor track and field, and women's indoor track and field.
Of the 66 Wildcats, 12 posted a perfect 4.0 cumulative G.P.A., and 51 had a 3.5 G.P.A. or higher.
The Weber State men's basketball team set a program record with 12 student-athletes on the list. All 12 Wildcats who were eligible earned the honor. The 12 players are the most in program history and the most of any men's basketball team in the Big Sky this season. The 'Cats had three players with a perfect 4.0 G.P.A., and all 12 were 3.4 or higher.
The Wildcat women's track and field team had 29 athletes earn the honor, including six with a 4.0 GPA. A total of 20 of the Wildcats had a 3.8 or higher.
The WSU men's track and field team placed 20 on the list with three 4.0 GPA's and nine at 3.8 or higher.
Weber State women's basketball added five student-athletes to the all-academic list.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded three requirements: 1) Participation in at least half of the team's competitions; 2) Achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average at the conclusion of the most recently completed term; 3) Completed at least one academic term at his/her school. For indoor track and field, student-athletes must have participated in at least half of the team's competitions or competed at the conference championship.
As a conference, the Big Sky had 546 student-athletes recognized for the winter season, with 84 earning a perfect. 4.0 GPA.
