Wildcat men's basketball earns multiple academic honors from NABC

Weber State earned a team academic excellence award and six Wildcats were named to the Honors Court.
Weber State men's basketball has been honored for academic excellence by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.Â
The Wildcats earned the prestigious NABC Team Academic Excellence Award for having a team GPA above 3.0. For the 2024-25 academic year, the Wildcats posted a 3.71 cumulative GPA for the 2024-25 academic year.Â
In addition, the Wildcats had six players named to the NABC Honors Court, which is given to junior, senior, and graduate players who finished the year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Nigel Burris, Dyson Koehler, Alex Tew, Blaise Threatt, Miguel Tomley, and Vasilije Vucinic were all named to the Honors Court for their academic excellence.Â
Head coach Eric Duft and the Wildcats had a Big Sky-best 10 players named to the all-conference academic list last season. WSU was also named the Big Sky Team Academic Champion for the 2023-24 season.Â
Over 2,400 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and nearly 400 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2024-25.Â
