Weber State opens the Big Sky schedule on January 1. The Wildcats will play 18 conference games before the Big Sky Tournament.
The Big Sky Conference has announced the conference schedule for the 2025-26 men's basketball season.Â
All Big Sky teams will play a full 18-game conference schedule this year, which will tipoff on January 1, 2026, and run through March 2.Â
The Weber State men's basketball team will ring in the new year with a home game on Thursday, January 1, at the Dee Events Center when the Wildcats host Portland State. Two days later, on January 3, WSU hosts Sacramento State.Â
The Wildcats will play four of the first six games at home. After two games at Northern Arizona and Northern Colorado, WSU will host Eastern Washington on January 15 and Idaho on January 17.
The 'Cats will then have three of the next four games on the road, playing at Montana on January 22 and at Montana State on January 24. WSU hosts Idaho State on January 31, then plays at Sacramento State on Monday, February 2.Â
WSU hosts Northern Colorado and Northern Arizona on February 5 and 7, then plays at Idaho and Eastern Washington.Â
The final home games of the season will be against long-time rivals Montana State on February 19 and Montana on February 21.Â
The final two games of the season will be at Idaho State on February 28 and at Portland State on March 2.Â
The men's and women's Big Sky Championships will be held March 7-11 at Idaho Central Arena in Boise, Idaho, with all 10 schools participating.Â
Head coach Eric Duft will return for his fourth season as head coach of the Wildcats. Weber State has four returners who played last season in senior Nigel Burris, junior Viljami Vartiainen, and sophomores Trevor Henig and Declan Cutler, along with red-shirt freshman David Hansen.Â
The 'Cats welcome eight new players to the team, including four transfers. WSU welcomes juniors Malek Gomma (transfer from Seattle), Tijan Saine (Western Washington), Edwin Suarez (Arizona Western), and Jace Whiting (Boise State/UNLV).Â
Weber State also welcomes four new freshmen in ArDarius Grayson, Anthony Moore, Duce Paschal, and Bourgeois Tshilobo. Â
