Wildcats drop road game to Bears

GREELEY, Colorado - Weber State women's basketball fell 55-41 this Thursday evening to the Northern Colorado Bears. With the loss, the Wildcats record drops to 10-1 in the Big Sky.
Weber State had a slow start, not making their first field goal until four minutes remained in the first quarter. However, the Wildcats quickly followed up with two 3-pointers, closing an initial eight-point gap to end the quarter trailing by just two.
The Wildcats continued to battle in the second quarter but struggled to score, managing only seven points. This limited scoring prevented them from overcoming the deficit as the half ended 24-17.Â
Weber State was shooting 32.1 percent from the field and 14.3 percent from beyond the arc.Â
The Wildcats struggled offensively in the third quarter, scoring only 11 points compared to the Bears 21. Unfortunately, Northern Colorado maintained their offense, keeping the Wildcats from recovering in the fourth quarter, resulting in a final score of 55-41.
