Wildcats fall to Lumberjacks

FLAGSTAFF, Arizona - Weber State women's basketball dropped a 73-65 decision this Saturday afternoon as the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks utilized a 19-0 run in the fourth quarter.Â
In a competitive first quarter, Lanae Billy started off the scoring with a 3-pointer. The Wildcats continued to put on a strong offensive performance as they finished the quarter ahead 20-19, shooting 4-for-9 from beyond the arc.Â
The second quarter saw both teams remain consistent, with the score tied four times. The Lumberjacks took their largest lead of the half when they led by four at 31-27. The Lumberjacks ultimately ended the half with a narrow 35-33 lead.Â
Weber State's offense was led by Hannah Robbins, who scored 11 points. At the break, the Wildcats were shooting 37.9 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from 3-point range.
Weber State took the lead in the third quarter, capitalizing on a 7-0 run to make the score 47-43. The Wildcats strong performance saw them outscore Northern Arizona 21-13 in the quarter, and as they maintained their momentum, the purple and white finished strong with a 54-48 advantage.
Antoniette Emma-Nnopu contributed with her first field goal of the game with three minutes remaining in the third period.
