Wildcats Move to Fourth in Red Rocks Second Round

SEDONA, Ariz. – The Wildcats shot a second round score of 299 on Saturday to move into fourth place at the Red Rocks Invitational at Oakcreek Country Club with a 36-hole total of 585.
Weber State opened the tournament on Friday with an impressive 2-under par 286 placing them in second place heading into Saturday's round.
Sofia Fuenmayor leads the way for the 'Cats with rounds of 69 and 74 for a 1-under par total of 143 and a tie for 5th place heading into Sunday's final round.
Cala Korman and Jade Gruher each shot rounds of 72 and 74 to open the tournament in a tie for 13th place at 2-over par 146.
Braylyn Bayer (73-79) is tied for 28th at 8-over par 152, while Emily Song (76-77) is in a tie for 30th at 153.
Individual Adley Nelson matched Fuenmayor in the opening round with a stellar 3-under par 69 to sit in a tie for 3rd, and she remains in the top-10 in a tie for 9th overall at 1-over par 145 after a 76 on Saturday.
