'Cats Slip to Eighth at Big Sky Championships

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – The Weber State women's golf team shot a 18-over par score of 302 on Tuesday in the second round of the Big Sky Conference Championships at Wigwam Golf Club and dropped two spots into eighth place with one round remaining the tournament.

Sofia Fuenmayor led the 'Cats for the second-straight day, carding a 1-over par 72 on Tuesday and sits in a tie for fifth place overall at even-par 142 through 36 holes.

Cala Korman shot a 3-over par 74 and is in a tie for 19th place at 147, while Adley Nelson dropped into a tie for 29th place at 152 with a 79 on the day.

Braylyn Bayer shot a second-straight 78 for the tournament and is in a tie for 44th place at 156, and Emily Song is in 48th place at 161 after also posting a 78 on Tuesday.

Northern Arizona held its lead atop the team standings, shooting in red figures for the second-straight day with a 1-under par 283. The Lumberjacks are at 3-under par 565 and lead second-place Northern Colorado by five shots heading into Wednesday's final round.

NAU's Nina Lukyanenko leads the individual medalist race at 4-under par 138 after posting a 70 on Tuesday. She leads Northern Colorado's Jaci Hartman by a single shot.
