Wildcats Move Up to Seventh in Final Round of Big Sky Championships

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – The Weber State women's golf team shot a final round 296 to move up to seventh place as the Big Sky Conference Championships, and the Wildcats' season, wrapped up on Wednesday at Wigwam Golf Club.
The Wildcats opened the tournament with rounds of 294 and 302, and posted a 54-hole total of 892.
Sofia Fuenmayor carded five birdies in a 1-under par final round 70 to finish off a great tournament in which she finished tied for fifth place with rounds of 70-72-70 for a 1-under par total of 212.
Cala Korman gave the Wildcats a pair of players in the top-20, finishing in 15th place on rounds of 73-74-72 for a 6-over par 219. Korman finished strong on Wednesday, playing the last five holes in 4-under par. She holed out for eagle on the par-4 14th hole and added consecutive birdies to finish the round on 17 and 18.
Braylyn Bayer finished 39th overall on rounds of 78-78-77 for a 20-over par total of 233, while Emily Song tied for 46th place on rounds of 83-78-77 for a 25-over par total of 238.
Adley Nelson played the opening two rounds for the Wildcats, posting rounds of 73 and 79. Jade Gruher was subbed in for Nelson in the final round and carded an 8-over par 79.
Northern Arizona held onto its lead over the final round to claim the 2026 Big Sky Championship title. The Lumberjacks shot a 5-under par total of 847 to finish five shots ahead of Northern Colorado. Montana State finished third at 867, while Portland State finished fourth at 881.
NAU's Lizzie Neale shot a 6-under par final round of 65 to tie Montana State's Norah Seidl atop the individual leaderboard at 5-under par 208 after 54 holes.
