OGDEN - Weber State Athletics posted another strong performance academically, as highlighted by the latest Academic Progress Rate (APR) report released by the NCAA.

The APR is the NCAA's measure of academic achievement for student-athletes, tracking eligibility and retention.

The Wildcats had two programs earn NCAA Public Recognition Awards for posting a perfect 1,000 multiyear APR score. Women's Basketball and Women's Tennis both received the honor. Weber State's women's basketball team was the only program in the Big Sky Conference in its sport to earn the recognition.

Weber State had nine teams record a perfect 1,000 single-year APR score: men's basketball, men's cross country, women's basketball, women's cross country, women's golf, softball, soccer, women's track and field, and volleyball.

WSU had five programs that led the Big Sky in their sport: men's basketball, men's cross country, softball, women's basketball, and women's tennis.

Weber State also had three programs lead all schools in the state of Utah, including ties. Men's cross country, women's basketball, and women's tennis each posted the state's highest APR score in their respective sports.

In addition, nine Weber State teams were at or above the national four-year APR average in their sport. Those teams were men's basketball, men's cross country, football, men's tennis, women's basketball, softball, soccer, women's tennis, and women's track and field.
