Football names captains for 2026 season

As selected by their teammates, Weber State has named four teammates for the 2026 season. 5th year quarterback Devin Brown, junior wide receiver and kick returner Noah Kjar, 5th year cornerback Trevian Tribble, and 5th year linebacker Raimoana Tinirauarii will be the captains for this season.

Brown is a transfer to WSU after spending three seasons at Ohio State and one season at Cal. Kjar, the son of head coach Eric Kjar, is in his third season at Weber State. He has played in 14 games over two seasons with 19 receptions and one career kickoff return touchdown.

Tribble and Tinirauarii are both in their fifth years at Weber State, having joined WSU in 2022.

Tribble has played in 34 games entering the 2026 season, the most of any returning Wildcat on this year's team.

He has 97 total tackles with one fumble recovery and one forced fumble.

Tinirauarii enters the season having played in 23 games in his WSU career. He has 41 career tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss.

The 2026 season marks the start of the Eric Kjar era as the new head coach of the Wildcats. WSU opens with the first three games on the road, before hosting Northwestern State on September 19 in the home opener.
