As a Junior in 2008-09: Spencer put together his most productive season as a Wildcat thus far, running up 18 wins... Went 8-10 in singles play and was 10-7 in doubles... Split his singles matches over the 3 through 6 spots, going 1-5 at No. 3, 2-2 at No. 4, 2-1 at No. 5 and 3-2 at No. 6... Again finished strong for the Wildcats... Ended the year with a four-match winning streak and went 5-1 in Big Sky play in singles... In doubles, he split a pair of matches alongside Travis Covington, went 8-6 playing with Chris Williams and won a single outing with Douglas Alves... With Williams, he went 2-2 playing in the No. 2 spot and 6-4 at No. 3... Was an even 3-3 in Big Sky doubles matches, all of which came alongside Williams.

As a Red-shirt Sophomore in 2007-08: Spencer produced 16 wins for the Wildcats, going 6-7 in singles play and 10-12 in doubles... Split his singles matches between the No. 5 and 6 spots in the lineup... Went undefeated in two singles matches at No. 5 and was 4-7 at No. 6... Ended the year winning six of his final 10 singles outings and was 3-2 in Big Sky play... Put together a five match singles winning streak and won six of seven matches from Mar. 6 to Apr. 12... Produced a 6-7 doubles mark alongside Travis Covington... Was 1-0 at the No. 2 spot spot and 5-7 at No. 3 with Covington... Was 4-5 in doubles playing with Ryan Garner... Marchant and Garner went 1-0 at No. 2 and 3-5 at No. 3... Was 3-4 in doubles during Big Sky play, 1-1 with Covington and 2-3 with Garner... Like in singles, Marchant had a five-match winning streak and won six out of seven in doubles. That streak ran from Jan. 20 to Mar. 6. Coincidentally, his doubles streak came to an end the same day he started his singles streak.

As a Sophomore in 2006-07: Spencer sat out the year as a red-shirt.
