Amy is one of five Wildcat seniors this year and has appeared in 88 career matches in three seaons at Weber State.  

 

2008 (Junior)

Amy played in all 34 matches and 129 of 135 sets during the season...Also started 32 matches during the year...Averaged a career-best 1.36 kills per set and hit a career-best .159 on the year...Averaged 1.74 kills and 0.98 blocks per set in Big Sky matches...Finished the year with 105 total blocks, the second most on the WSU squad, with a blocking average of 0.81 per set...Posted four career-highs during the season...Had a career high of 13 kills in WSU’s win at Northern Arizona on November 13...Also had ten kills earlier in the season at Sacramento State, her fist two matches with ten or more kills...Had a career-high of 26 attacks November 21 against Montana and in that same match she set a career-high with ten total blocks, tied for the most blocks in a match by any Wildcat during the season...Also had a career-high with three assists in a win over Gardner-Webb..After three seasons with the Wildcats, Amy has 245 career kills and 176 career blocks in 88 career matches. 

 

2007 (Sophomore)

Amy appeared in 22 of the 29 matches during her sophomore season...Saw action in 35 games during the year...She totaled 10 kills on the season, with a season-high of three kills in WSU’s 3-2 loss at Utah Valley on September 8...Finished the year with six total blocks, five block assists and one solo block...Had a season-high of two blocks in the match at Utah Valley.

 

2006 (Freshman)

Amy played in 32 of 33 matches for the Wildcats as a freshman during the season and started ten matches...Appeared in 78 games...Totaled 59 kills for an average of 0.76 kills per game and had 65 blocks to average 0.83 per game...Also hit .054 during the season...Posted a career-high seven kills in WSU’s home opening 3-0 win August 29 over Utah Valley State...Also hit a career-best .583 in that match...Posted six kills each in three straight matches in October: at Eastern Washington, home to Montana, and at Sacramento State...Had a season-high of eight blocks September 2 in a 3-2 win over Binghamton and also had a season-best four digs in that match.

 

Davis High School

Graduated from Davis High School in Kaysville, Utah...She earned letters in volleyball, basketball, and track...She was named to the 2005 All-Star 5A volleyball team and earned Second Team All-State honors...Was also named to the All-Region First Team...Earned Second Team All-State honors in basketball her senior season.

 

Personal

Was born February 17, 1988 in Layton, Utah...Parents are Robert and Jane Dunford...Married Jim Fackrell in February 2009...Nickname is Amos...Is the middle child of seven children...Siblings are April, Sarah, Michelle, Ali, Morgan, and Ben...Is majoring in English Teaching at Weber State.
