Jenna has been voted 2009 Team Captain by her teammates.  She is one of five seniors on this year’s squad and has appeared in 77 career matches at Weber State.

 

2008 (Junior)

Jenna appeared in all 34 matches and played in 123 sets for the Wildcats during the 2008 season...Averaged 1.78 kills and 1.14 digs per set, while hitting a career-best .165 hitting percentage...Also averaged 1.89 kills, 1.37 digs, and hit .180 in Big Sky matches...For the season she finished fourth on the WSU squad in points with 263.5...Posted ten or more kills six times during the year, including a season-high of 16 kills in WSU’s win over Idaho State September 26...Also had three matches with ten or more digs, with a season-high of 10 at Utah Valley on September 23...Posted a career-high hitting percentage of .846 in WSU’s 3-0 victory over Northern Arizona on October 11...In that match she had 13 total attacks and 11 kills for the hitting percentage of .846...That percentage ranks as the second best hitting percentage in a match in Weber State history...The Wildcats as a team hit .418 in the match, the fourth best team percentage in school history...Jenna also recorded a career-high of six blocks in WSU’s win at Northern Colorado on November 15...For the year she also posted 78 blocks, 21 assists, and 11 aces...After three seasons and 77 career matches at Weber State, Jenna has totaled 458 kills, 241 digs, and 121 blocks in her career. 

 

2007 (Sophomore)

Jenna played in 28 of 29 matches during the season and appeared in 78 games during the season...Averaged 1.13 kills per game and totaled 88 kills and 105.5 points during the season...Posted double digits in kills twice during the season...Started the year with a season-high 11 kills in WSU’s first match of the season, a 3-2 home loss to Wyoming...Also had ten kills in a 3-2 win at Idaho State on September 21...Had a hitting percentage of .124 and posted 25 digs and 25 blocks during the year...Had a career-best hitting percentage of .533 in WSU’s win over Southeast Missouri State.

 

2006 (Freshman)

Joined the team in late September and appeared in 15 matches...She started 14 matches and played in 56 games as a freshman...Made an immediate impact on the Wildcats...Finished the season with 159 kills for an average of 2.84 per game, the third best on the team...Was fifth on the team in points with 169.5, playing in only half the season...Posted double digits in kills in eight of her 15 matches, including five of the last six matches to help the Wildcats advance to the Big Sky Tournament...Had a career-high of 18 kills November 4 in WSU’s thrilling 3-2 win over Montana State...Totaled 76 digs for an average of 1.36 per game, the fifth best on the Wildcat team...Had two double-doubles during the season...Had a season-high 13 digs at Sacramento State, to go along with 15 kills...Hit .145 for the year with a season-best .364 at Portland State...Had 18 blocks and three aces on the year.

 

2005-06 (WSU Women’s Basketball)

Jenna appeared in all 30 games for the Weber State women’s basketball team during her freshman season...She started the first 14 games of the year...Scored in double figures three times, all in the first five games of the season...Had a career-high 12 points in her second game at Saint Louis...Pulled down a career-high ten rebounds in a win over Pacific on December 10...Finished the season averaging 4.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game...Shot 39.8 percent from the field and was 70.9 percent from the free throw line.

 

Coeur d’Alene High School

Maintained a 3.86 GPA and also earned four letters in volleyball and two in track...Was named the 2005 North Idaho Female Athlete of the Year and was the MVP for the Idaho All-Star Basketball game where she also won the three-point contest.

Was born October 20, 1986 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho...Is the oldest player on this year’s Wildcat team...Hometown is Hayden Lake, ID, just north of Coeur d’Alene...Parents are Dennis and Kelli Griffitts...Is the second oldest of five children with siblings Lorin (25), Kellen (20), Kama (18), and James (15)...The former Jenna Griffitts, she married former Weber State football player Brad Leggat in May 2006...Middle name is Sele...Is majoring in Interior Design at Weber State...Nickname is Jenna Bug.
