Jonah finished his career at Weber State in 2019 and earned All-America honors and was named the Big Sky Defensive MVP. He was part of the winningest senior class in school history that won three Big Sky titles and made four Playoff appearances. In his 54 career games, Williams had 15 sacks, which ranks ninth in school history, with 28 career tackles for loss. He also had 194 total tackles with three fumble recoveries and three forced fumbles. He also had three career blocked kicks.
He was also named the 2019-20 Weber State Male Athlete of the Year and the Big Sky Scholar Athlete. He also earned Big Sky Academic All-Conference honors four times and was named to the Hampshire Society by the National Football Foundation as a senior.
2019 (Senior)
Started all 15 games and earned All-American honors and was named Big Sky Defensive MVP during Weber State’s historic season, helping WSU win a third-straight Big Sky title and advance to the FCS Semifinals…Became the fifth player in WSU history to be named Big Sky Defensive MVP…Earned first-team All-America honors by HERO Sports and second-team All-America honors by STATS...Also earned first-team All-Big Sky honors...Served as a team captain and finished fifth in the Big Sky in sacks with 7.5 on the season...Was also 12th in the conference in tackles for loss with 11...Had three sacks at Nevada and two against Southern Utah...Also recorded 62 total tackles with 28 solo tackles and 34 assisted tackles...Had five quarterback hurries, three pass breakups, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble...Earned Big Sky Academic All-Conference honors in Business Administration/Finance for the fourth time in his career.
2018 (Junior)
Started all 13 games and earned first team All-Big Sky honors in helping lead the ‘Cats to a second-straight Big Sky title...Totaled 42 tackles on the year with 23 unassisted tackles and 19 assisted tackles...Had a season-high seven tackles in the season opening game at Utah and has six tackles in wins over Cal Poly and Southern Utah...Also had seven tackles for loss for a loss of nine yards...Also had one forced fumble and one quarterback hurry...Earned Big Sky Academic All-Conference honors in Business Administration/Finance.
2017 (Sophomore)
Played in all 14 games and started in 12 games for the Wildcats on the defensive line...Earned second-team Big Sky All-Conference honors in helping Weber State to an historic season that included a Big Sky Championship and two wins in the FCS Playoffs...Finished second on the Wildcat team and was 10th in the Big Sky in sacks with 5.5...Had 1.5 sacks in WSU’s home win over Montana on Oct. 28...Also recorded 37 tackles on the year with a season-high of seven tackles in the FCS Playoffs at No. 1 James Madison...Had six tackles for loss...Also recorded two quarterback hurries and had two blocked kicks...Blocked a punt in the second quarter at Sacramento State and returned the ball 31 yards for a touchdown...Also had one fumble recovery and one forced fumble on the year...Earned Big Sky Academic All-Conference honors in Business Administration/Finance.
2016 (Freshman)
Started all 12 games for the Wildcats on the defensive line, helping WSU to the FCS Playoffs...Was named to the Hero Sports FCS All-Freshman Team as one of the top freshmen in the country and was one of five freshmen in the Big Sky named to the list...Recorded 53 tackles with 20 solo tackles and 33 assisted tackles...Also had four tackles for loss, two sacks, two quarterback hurries and one blocked kick...Two sacks for a loss of 13 yards came in the FCS Playoff game at No. 9 Chattanooga...Had a season-high nine tackles with eight solo tackles in the win at Southern Utah...Had a blocked field goal attempt in WSU's home opening win over Sacramento State...Earned Big Sky Academic All-Conference honors in Chemistry.
