Micah appeared in 13
matches and played in 49 sets for the Wildcats during the season...After 13
matches she sat out the rest of the season due to her pregnancy...She and her
husband J.D. are expecting their first child in March 2009...In the 13 matches
she played during the 2008 season Micah averaged 2.71 kills and 2.43 digs per
set, while hitting .214...Posted double digits in kills in six of 13 matches and
had double digits in digs in seven matches during the season...Also posted four
double-doubles during the season, giving her 24 for her two-year career at
Weber State...Had a season-high of 21 kills with 45 attacks in WSU’s Big Sky
Conference opener against Eastern Washington on September 18...Also had a
season-high of 12 digs against Rice on September 5...Was named to the All-Tournament
Team of the Gonzaga Classic after helping Weber State to a 3-0 record and the
tournament title...After two seasons Micah has played in 42 career matches at
Weber State.
2007 (Sophomore)
Micah led Weber State
in points and kills as a sophomore after transferring before the
season...Played in all 29 matches and appeared in 112 of 113 games during the
season...Was one of six players to earn Big Sky All-Conference First Team
honors...Became just the sixth Wildcat to ever be selected to the
All-Conference First Team and the first since 2002...Totaled 444.5 points
during the season for an average of 3.97 points per game, ranking sixth in the
Big Sky... Posted 20 double-doubles during the season, the third most of any
player in the Big Sky...Finished fifth in the Big Sky in kills with an average
of 3.38 kills per game, after posting 379 kills on the season...Finished in
double digits in kills in 24 of 29 matches during the season, including the last
ten matches of the season...Posted a career-high of 24 kills in the final match
of the season, a 3-2 loss to Portland State in the semifinals of the Big Sky
Tournament...Was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Big Sky Championships,
just the fifth Wildcat to ever be named to the All-Tournament Team...Had at
least 20 kills twice during the season...Also averaged 3.42 digs per game after
posting 383 digs on the season, tied for the ninth most in a season in Weber
State history...Finished in double digits in digs in 21 matches during the year
and had three matches of at least 20 digs...Had a career-high of 32 digs in
Weber State’s 3-2 win at Sacramento State on November 2...The 32 digs ranks as
the second most in Weber State single-match history...Also had 79 blocks for an
average of 0.71 per game and a career-high of nine blocks at Sacramento State,
just missing a triple-double in that match...Also totaled 24 aces on the year,
tied for the third most on the team...Served as one of two Co-Captains for the
Wildcats during the season...Was named the Tournament MVP of the North Florida
Labor Day Classic, after leading Weber State to three wins in the
tournament...Was also named the Big Sky Player of the Week for her performance
that week.
University of Wyoming
Micah played in 16
matches as a true freshman during the 2006 season at the University of Wyoming
in Laramie...Started three matches and averaged 3.77 digs per game, the best
average on the team...Also recorded 34 kills for an average of 0.64 per game and
hit .095 for the season.
Viewmont High School
Attended Viewmont
High School...Was a four-time First Team All-Region selection, along with
earning First Team All-State honors three times and Second Team honors
once...Was the team captain as a senior and received the U.S.Army Reserve
National Scholar Athlete Award...Recorded 36 kills in one match.
Personal
Was born September 6, 1988 in Mesa, Arizona... Parents are Jon and Kim Lines... Middle name is Dannan...Has two brothers, Brye (22) and Dutcher (8), and a sister Haley (12)... The former Micah Lines, she married J.D. Folsom in December 2007...J.D. and Micah are expecting their first child in March 2009...J.D. was a senior on the Weber State football team during the 2008 season, where he earned Big Sky First Team All-Conference honors...Is majoring in Technical Sales at Weber State.
