JJ was a senior with the Wildcats during the 2021-22 season after transferring from Utah Valley in the summer of 2021. 

2021-22 (Senior)
Started all 33 games for the Wildcats after transferring from UVU prior to the season…Finished third on the Wildcat team in scoring at 12.4 points per game…Scored in double figures 20 times on the year with a career-high 23 points against Southern Utah…Scored 20 or more points three times, including 21 points against UMass at the Jersey Mike’s Classic, including three 3-pointers…Was sixth in the Big Sky in steals with 45 for an average of 1.4 per game…Shot 53 percent from the field. 

Utah Valley
Played two seasons at Utah Valley from 2019-21 where he appeared in 48 career games and started 20 games...Started all 19 games as a senior in 2020-21 and earned all-conference honors...Averaged 15.6 points, 42 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game, and led the team with 27 steals...In his two seasons with the Wolverines, he averaged 10.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game, while shooting 49 percent from the field.

Junior college
Prior to UVU, played two seasons at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California where he was a two-time first team All-Orange Empire Conference selection...Averaged 14.8 points and 6.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game as a sophomore. 

High school
Graduated from Rancho Bernardo High School where he earned all-league honors each of his four seasons…Led his team in scoring and assists, setting records for the most points and the most free throws ever scored in a single game…Earned Player of the Year honors.

Personal
His father Chuck played two seasons at Salt Lake Community College where he led the Bruins to a fifth place finish in the NJCAA finals in 1994. He also played two seasons at Cal State Fullerton.
