Bio
Clarence “Bird” Butler is a senior running back and kick returner for the Wildcats out of Salt Lake City.
He has played in 22 games in his two seasons at Weber State and enters the 2025 season with 22 rushing yards and 925 kick return yards.
2024 (Junior)
Saw action in 11 games for the Wildcats during the season…Finished the season third in the Big Sky in punt returns and fourth in kickoff returns…Had 23 punt returns for 289 yards, tied for the eighth-most punt return yards in a season in WSU history…Had a season-long return of 48 yards at Lamar…Had a season-high 69 return yards against McNeese…Was part of WSU finishing fifth as a team in net punting…Also had 21 kickoff returns for 471 yards, an average of 22.4 yards per return…Had five returns for a season-high 112 yards at Sacramento State, including a season-long 40 yard return…Had at least one kickoff return in 10 of the 12 games…Totaled 22 rushing attempts for 141 yards on the season…Had a season-high 61 rushing yards in helping Weber State to a win over Portland State in the Big Sky opener…Also had six carries for 57 yards in the season-ending win over Cal Poly.
