David Fiefia

David Fiefia was a part of the Weber State staff for three seasons from 2022-24. During his time with the Wildcats, he coached tight ends and running backs, assisted with special teams, and was the recuriting coordiantor.Â
During the 2023 season, Fiefia helped the Wildcats to a ninth-straight winning season, including wins in the final three games of the season. He also coached Hayden Meacham to second team All-Big Sky honors.Â
In his first year at Weber State in 2022, Fiefia helped lead Weber State to another 10-win season, including an FBS win over Utah State. He coached Justin Malone to All-Big Sky honors. Â
He also assisted with coaching kickoff returns on special teams that saw a record-setting performance from sophomore Abraham Williams who earned consensus All-America honors as he broke the Big Sky record with four 100-yard kickoff return touchdowns during the season. He was the only player in all of NCAA football (all Divisions) to have more than two kickoff return touchdowns and he set an NCAA record with all four returns being 100 yards.Â
Fiefia, a native of West Valley City, Utah, came to Weber State after spending the previous seven seasons at Idaho State. He was the Assistant Head Coach for the Bengals for the last five years and coached tight ends and running backs during his time at ISU.Â
He was a four-year player at running back at Utah State from 2000-03. He earned first-team All-Sun Belt honors in 2003 as an all-purpose player and second-team honors at running back. He rushed for 1,193 yards and nine touchdowns in his career with the Aggies and had 80 receptions for 707 yards and two touchdowns.Â
After graduating, he was a graduate assistant at Utah State for three seasons, assisting with the running backs.Â
He graduated from Utah State in 2003 with a degree in Marketing. He and his wife Celestia have seven children.Â
