Dustin is in his first year as an assistant coach with the Wildcats. He is the assistant safeties coach and also oversees team operations, including travel.Â
Long comes to WSU with several years of experience as a high school coach, including two seasons as a head coach. He was the head coach at Union High School in Roosevelt from 2023-24.Â
Prior to coming to Weber State, he was an assistant coach with coach Eric Kjar at Corner Canyon High School in 2025.Â
He was previously the defensive coordinator at Logan High from 2020-23. He spent seven seasons at Payson High School, including time as the defensive coordinator and Associate Head Coach.
Long is a native of Fountain Green, Utah. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Thomas Edison State University in New Jersey in 2014.Â
He completed a Master’s of Education degree at Weber State in 2026.Â
