Tana Vea
Tana Vea is in his second stint as an assistant coach with Weber State football. He coaches the WSU running backs and is also the Recruiting Coordinator. 

Vea was hired by Eric Kjar in January 2026. 

He previously served for four seasons at Weber State as a student assistant and Recruiting Coordinator, from the spring 2021 season through the 2023 season. During that time, he helped guide the Wildcats to a Big Sky Championship and two appearances in the FCS Playoffs.

After leaving Weber State, Vea spent the 2024 and 2025 seasons as the Recruiting Coordinator at San Diego State. 

A native of Inglewood, California, Vea played high school football at Juan Diego High School in Salt Lake City. 

He also began his coaching career at Juan Diego, where he spent six years as an assistant coach, including roles as offensive coordinator and running backs coach.

Vea earned his degree in Sociology from Weber State in 2023.
