Stefan finished his two-year career at Weber State in 2017, helping the Wildcats to a Big Sky title. In his two seasons at Weber State he threw for 3,006 yards and 26 touchdowns with just seven interceptions. That’s the 16th most passing yards in a career in school history. He also posted 3,637 yards of total offense with 631 career rushing yards.   

2017 (Senior)
Started all 14 games at quarterback and led the Wildcats to a record-setting season with 11 wins, the Big Sky title and a fifth-place ranking in the national polls...Served as one of the team captains for the Wildcats during the season...Finished second in the Big Sky in pass efficiency at 151.9 and was seventh in the conference in total offense and passing yards...Threw for 2,978 yards and 25 touchdowns during the season, the 10th most passing yards in a season in Weber State history...He also rushed for 597 yards and eight more touchdowns...Totaled 3,575 yards of total offense, which ranks as the fifth most yards in a season in school history...Threw for over 200 yards seven times during the season...Had a career best 431 yards passing at Cal on Sept. 9, which is the 11th most yards ever in a game and is the most passing yards ever by a Wildcat against an FBS opponent...Totaled 492 yards of total offense at Cal, which is the seventh most in history and the most ever against an FBS opponent...Also threw for 299 yards and rushed for 105 yards for a total of 404 yards in WSU’s win at Southern Utah in the FCS Playoffs...Earned Big Sky Academic All-Conference honors in Athletic Therapy and was honored by the National Football Foundation with the Hampshire Honor Society Award. 

2016 (Junior)
Played in nine games for the Wildcats during the season, helping WSU to the FCS Playoffs...Was 2-of-3 passing for 28 yards and one touchdown during the season...Threw a 21-yard touchdown pass in the FCS Playoff game at No. 9 Chattanooga...Also had 12 rushing attempts for 34 yards and a touchdown...Had a 10-yard touchdown run as part of WSU’s comeback with at Southern Utah...Earned Big Sky Academic All-Conference honors in Athletic Therapy.

Snow Junior College
Played the 2015 season at Snow Junior College...Helped lead the Badgers to the conference championship and the Salt City Bowl title...Threw for 2,708 yards in 11 games at Snow with 22 touchdowns...Had a 60 percent completion rate.

Dixie Junior College
Played the 2011 season at Dixie Junior College in St. George...Threw for 1,921 yards with 14 touchdowns and rushed for six more touchdowns.

Bingham High School
Graduated from Bingham High School in 2011 where he played for coach Dave Peck...Threw for 1,984 yards and 30 touchdowns as a senior and earned First Team All-State honors...Was named the 2010 Old Spice Player of the Year for Utah...Helped lead Bingham to back-to-back state titles in 2009 and 2010...Was high school teammates with former WSU linebacker Jared Afalava...Also played basketball and baseball in high school and baseball team won the state title in 2011.

Was born Nov. 14, 1992 in Salt Lake City...Parents are Rod and Christie Cantwell...Is one of eight children...Is married to Elizabeth Cantwell...Served an LDS Church mission to Spokane, Washington from 2012-14...Is majoring in Athletic Therapy at Weber State...Loves the outdoors.
